Wig Washing

Not every day can be an adventure, more often then not chores need to be done.


Today, was washing my wigs; to keep them feeling flowing and natural regular washing is vital. Using revlon shampoo, balsam and conditioner in a cool hand wash. Delicately combing out once done starting at the tips and working towards the top. 

While washing does revive a wig, while your natural hair grows and replenishes itself after a while wigs even washing is not enough and new wigs are needed; I quite like my look so shall be looking hard to replace like for like.

Working from home (again) Aug 2022

 Working from home dressed again, first time for a long time. I dress a lot, but in most cases, with insufficient time to get properly "dolled-up"; i.e. some good foundation to cover the 5 o'clock shadow.  Thursday was really nice, because while I was still working, I didn't have any meetings or calls, so while I was still working I was able to be fully dressed. I just crossed my fingers and hoped that I didn't get invited to an ad-hoc or urgent video call as I would have had to either make very quick excuses or out myself to my work colleagues.... .. actually I am confident that my work colleagues would be "cool with it" it I was found out; but I don't really want it to be a "thing" in my work life .. of course I would love to go to the office and just "be"; but that is not what would happen, people would interact with me differently .. or I would have to further tone down my attire.

Out and About 04 June  Got nice long time, without interruption from work calls, family visits, window cleaners or any of the things that normally prevent me from getting dressed to a level where I have even the slightest confidence to go off-site. I think its the first time I have been "out" since lock-down, which is as much about how opportunity has changed as anything related.  I gave myself a little push out of the door, once in the car seat and confident I could drive wearing the heels I was; I had no trouble setting off....   .. then I realised I had no idea where I was going or what I was going to do. I knew the objective was to push my boundaries and see how far I could go from the hidden world to the real world; it was clear to me this meant dropping slutty attire and trying to go for something broadly acceptable - but I also had no illusions that I was going to "pass" so went for try not to look too bad. Come-down

Come-down When the drugs you've taken the previous night wear-off, they call it a come-down. Today, as January draws to a close, I have that sort of feeling again.. while it might sound like little happened, I only went outside dressed once on Saturday, the emotional tension surrounding the build-up, frustrations and activity was a lot. A pair of shoes arrived today,.. too late for this time around, but I am hoping they will look good for the next adventure out. Was also a sombre day, as I sat for the first hour of the morning combing out my Henry Margu wig; only to find the fringe has come apart - I am not convinced I have the skill to fix it. For the 3 days of thrill, I think I totted up a spend of £1030.07 on new wig, clothes, shoes, stockings and makeup. Of that perhaps the least value for money was on stockings, as seem of have ordered many only seemed stockings; while all great quality, I only use on rare occasion; but the body suit that I ordered along-side seems to be prett...
